Audible Magic Joins FutureSoft Endpoint Security Alliance

HOUSTON, TX-February 7, 2006

FutureSoft, Inc., the Houston-based Endpoint Security vendor today announced a joint agreement with Los Gatos, CA-based Audible Magic to investigate delivering digital content recognition technology to corporate customers.

The solution will be based on Audible Magic’s current electronic media identification technology, and will be designed to provide protection to organizations concerned with the legal liabilities of material illegally copied on their networks. Of particular concern to corporate administrators and managers is the risk that illegally copied music files may leave their organization open to prosecution under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

FutureSoft and Audible Magic will work together to design and deliver software managed by FutureSoft’s endpoint security software, DynaComm i:scan and leveraging Audible Magic's extensive capabilities to recognize and classify digital media files.

Working together within the FutureSoft Endpoint Security Alliance, the two companies, along with other members of the alliance, will work towards delivering best-of-breed endpoint security solutions to protect organizations from such threats as spyware, unmanaged USB devices, copyright infringement, data theft, and to ensure proper regulatory compliance.
