FutureSoft Pioneering New Direction In Endpoint Security

HOUSTON, TX-March 3, 2006

FutureSoft, Inc., the Houston-based Endpoint Security vendor today released their product direction roadmap. After the sale of their DynaComm i:filter product to Microsoft Corp., FutureSoft is refocusing their technology direction on their core security offerings, DynaComm i:scan and DynaComm i:mail.

FutureSoft CEO and Co-Chairman, Tim Farrell said, “We‘'re delighted that Microsoft chose DynaComm i:filter when they looked for Internet filtering technology. This, we feel, validated our rigorous approach to developing world-class security solutions. That same passion is also evident in our endpoint security and email security products.”

Futuresoft is working with industry partners to develop a multi-vendor, multi-threat management solution for enterprise users. This technology, under the Endpoint Security Alliance, will address central management of such security functions as anti-spyware, anti-virus, application lockdown, removable media management, digital rights management and others, all from a single console.

The endpoint security management solution will be based on FutureSoft’s existing DynaComm i:scan product, which is already capable of a range of endpoint tasks, such as spyware scanning, USB management and application control.

Doug Monsour, President of Tangent Systems commented, “We feel this is exactly the kind of problem-focused approach that our customers are looking for. It gives us the tools to provide our customers with the level of solutions and service they have come to expect.” Tangent already provides an appliance based on the current generation of DynaComm i:scan, called PacketHawk. They plan to use the new developments to enhance their own solutions, aimed at educational and business markets.

FutureSoft plans to release a series of plug-in modules for DynaComm i:scan over the next several months, rolling out additional security tools from partners at the same time.
